Description This SSE fixes a domain name lookup problem introduced into the OpenServer rshd fix in SSE020. The rshd contained in SSE023 should be used in place of that contained in SSE020, on OpenServer Releases 5.0.4, 5.0.2, 5.0.0 and Internet FastStart. The other binaries delivered in SSE020 are unaffected, and if you have an OpenServer 5.0.5 machine you should use the rshd from SSE020. II. Impact rshd does not resolve names correctley. III. Releases This problem exists on the following releases of SCO operating systems: - SCO OpenServer 5.0.4 and earlier releases (also Internet FastStart) that where previously patched with SSE020. IV. Solution SCO is providing an interim patch to address this issue in the form of a System Security Enhancement (SSE) package. SSE023 contains a replacement binary for SCO OpenServer 5.05 and earlier releases and is available for Internet download via anonymous ftp, and from the SCOFORUM on Compuserve.
