Security vulnerability in sendmail
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I.   Description

A security vulnerability has been found in sendmail. This vulnerability
is caused by an error in the sendmail.cf configuration file. This
patch corrects that error.

II.  Impact

This vulnerability allows arbitary commands to be run as root. This 
vulnerability has been reported on internet newsgroups, so this patch should
be applied immediately.

III. Releases

This patch should be applied to UnixWare 7.1.0 (or earlier) releases.

IV.  Solution

SCO is providing an interim patch to address this issue in the form of a
System Security Enhancement (SSE) package.

SSE028 contains replacement files for each system type, and is
available for Internet download via anonymous ftp, and from the SCOFORUM
on Compuserve.
